Recommended admission profile: Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Materials Technologies (8209)

This Ph.D. is open to international students who have completed a Science Master or an Engineering degree and who are attracted to researching the structure of materials at the micro and nanoscale, their physical and chemical properties, and their technological applications. Admission criteria include previous training, professional and research activities related to the program, and personal motivation to join. Creativity, willingness to innovate, and transfer knowledge to society and commitment to sustainability are valued.

The University of Cadiz offers from the 2019-20 academic year the University Master’s Degree in Nanoscience and Materials Technologies,  which leads to an ideal training for this Doctorate Program.

The selection will follow the principles of objectivity, impartiality, merit, and capacity, and will take into account the following criteria:

The Academic Committee will evaluate the academic records of the degree and master’s degree as well as the adequacy of the student’s training to the line of research in which he/she will carry out his/her research work.

For these merits to be considered by the program’s Academic Committee, the applicant must unequivocally justify the link between the program and the future development of his/her research.

Link through a scholarship or contract to the University of Cadiz.

Commitment to direct the thesis by a researcher of recognized prestige.

For evaluation, the applicant must present a summary of the work he or she intends to carry out, which must be endorsed by the researcher who is proposed as director.
