Control procedure for the activity document and data certification

The Academic Committee will evaluate the annual research plan and the document of activities of the doctoral students, later elevating it to the Doctorate Committee of the University of Cadiz, which will assume the certification of the data obtained, and its presentation and publication.

The Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program, which will meet periodically, carries out the monitoring or annual evaluation of the researcher in training.

In order to carry out the individualized monitoring, the Committee will study the research plan and the document of activities of each doctorate student together with the reports that must be issued by the tutor, if applicable, and the director or co-directors.

For the evaluation, the development of the doctoral candidate’s research plan will be especially valued, in particular in relation to the proposed schedule and the modifications produced, the appropriateness of the proposed methodology, and the verifiable progress achieved in the research.

The Academic Committee will issue an evaluation report on the researcher in training. A positive evaluation will be a prerequisite for the continuation of the doctoral student in the program. In the event of a negative evaluation, which shall be duly justified, the doctoral student shall be re-evaluated within six months, to which end a new Research Plan shall be drawn up. In the event of another negative evaluation, the doctoral candidate will be permanently withdrawn from the program.
